Design Services
The fusion of creative and technical details . . . what people see
CONCEPTUAL DESIGN
Our creative design team works hand in hand with our clients to develop a "family of signs" that uniquely projects your corporate identity while ensuring that all designs are easily transferable to a three-dimensional environment.
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT & EVALUATION
Prototyping is an important step in the approval of new sign designs. Prototypes allow clients, designers, and fabricators the opportunity to critique the designs in "real world" conditions. Sign materials, colors, graphics, fabrication methods and lighting are some of the design elements evaluated through prototype development.
SPECIFICATIONS
Our designers develop detailed design intent drawings and specifications that clearly convey the sign design. In addition to developing new designs, we also review existing designs and specifications.
GRAPHICS AND PRESENTATION ARTWORK
Sign Services Group offers a full service graphics department. Our designers provide the necessary graphic standards, presentation artwork and photo-imaging necessary for the implementation and daily management of your program.
SIGNAGE GUIDELINES
Through the development of signage guidelines, Sign Services Group conveys to the sign user the proper application of the sign program. Signage guidelines protect the corporate identity and ensure that the sign program maintains the highest level of consistency and quality.
NEW SIGN RECOMMENDATIONS
Using information gathered from facility surveys or architectural drawings, Sign Services Group provides recommendations for new signage. Branding objectives, codes restrictions and budgets are some of the issues considered when making new sign recommendations.
Project Management Services
The detail oriented process of planning, implementation and achievement . . . making it happen
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Sign Services Group lays the foundation for the successful implementation of a sign program by detailing all critical tasks and related time frames. Branding objectives, budgets, schedules and logistical concerns are but a few of the variables we address when constructing realistic implementation strategies.
FACILITY SURVEYS
The proper implementation of a sign program begins with a thorough understanding of the facilities involved. Sign Services Group provides the most comprehensive facility surveys in the industry. We personally visit each site to consistently gather all necessary information and obtain an understanding of the many variables affecting the signage.
IMPLEMENTATION
Our experienced project management team coordinates the manufacturing, delivery, and installation of client signage. We oversee vendor activities to ensure that specifications and schedules are maintained. We use customized databases to keep our clients fully informed of their project status.
COST CONTROL
Reducing the cost of our clients' sign programs is one of the most valuable services we offer. Some methods for controlling costs include competitive bidding, cost effective design, quality control inspections, inventory control and vendor invoice review.
QUALITY CONTROL
Sign Services Group closely monitors manufacturing and installation processes to ensure compliance to specifications. This is accomplished by reviewing shop drawings and conducting plant and job site inspections.
BID DOCUMENTS/RFPs
We assist our clients in selecting qualified suppliers and installers by developing detailed bid documents, or RFPs. These documents specify client requirements and expectations, as well as the contractual terms to which the bidding vendors must adhere.
MAINTENANCE
Because signage is vital to a company’s image, and represents a substantial marketing expenditure, it is important that the signage be properly maintained. Sign Services Group provides “on-call” maintenance services to ensure your signage remains in the best possible condition.
